Marianna Martin is the current Vice President of Broad Universe, and a PhD in Cinema and Media Studies with a focus on narrative structure, genre theory, and reader approaches to serial narrative. Her doctoral dissertation, "Reading the Cards: Contemporary Genre Practice and Digital Audiences," argues for a new theory of Genre that better reflects current approaches to narrative structure. Nothing makes her happier than getting under the hood of a story in any medium and figuring out how it ticks (or doesn’t).
After an interlude working in film and television Development, Marianna now writes genre fiction: lo-fi cyberpunk (as herself) and supernatural hockey romance (as Taylor Connor). She is currently seeking an agent. You can find her upcoming panel appearances and other news and adventures at www.mariannamartin.com
